Til We Have Faces #2 Ancient Mythology

A big problem that I have with a lot of Ancient Mythology is that there almost never seems to be redeeming qualities. There are almost always humans that mess up and then God's who are completely removed from the situation who bring their wrath down upon the people. This is so totally opposite from what I have been brought up with and what I have chosen to believe in the God of the Bible. The God of the Bible does get angry with sin, but he had enough grace on us that he would send his son Jesus to die for us. He made the reach out to us and is fighting on our side rather than the mythological God's who pass judgment without ever entering into relationship with the humans that are subject under them
