Blog 2- The Horse and His Boy

My favorite Narnia book is The Horse and His Boy. Firstly, the title is eye catching. My favorite scene is when Shasta is laying by the tombs and the cat, which turns out to be Aslan, lies beside him. This was a good scene because it shows Aslan as capable of becoming personal with Shasta. He had been making sure Shasta’s journey continued and he recognized that what Shasta needed was someone to be there for him in the dark. Shasta, up to this point, had seen a lot of the world beyond his cottage, yet was still scared of the dark. It is these small acts that give Shasta the courage he needs to continue his journey.
