In the forward of this book, Lewis
argues that there are natural laws and objective values, which education should
teach children to recognize. This is an interesting argument and seems to be
based off of his believe that there is a God or at least some higher power who
put these natural laws into place. Additionally, he compares that to objective
values that most people have and disregards them. It seems that Lewis believes
that there is a God who is the end all for what is right and what is wrong and
that people should attempt to live their lives by these sets of natural laws
rather than their own objective values that are almost always based off of emotion
rather than a God.
