Outside Reading #2 The Scewtape Letters- Keeping things out

Again, this book is full of insights as to how Demons do their work. I found this quote interesting: “It is funny how mortals always picture us as putting things into their minds: in reality our best work is done by keeping things out.” So many time I do think that Demons are trying to put evil thoughts into my head. But in reality, all they have to do is keep me from thinking about who Jesus is and the fact that he dies for me and they will most likely win the battle. I have however experienced demons put thoughts into my life. Through my dream life. I still to this day have night terrors on a semi-regular basis. These terrors are feelings of absolute hopelessness and the feeling that there is a presence trying to kill me. I have started to battle these dreams through prayer ever y night. Praying in the name of Jesus that I would not have night terrors.
