Sam Atkinson, Sirens of Titan
This semester, I read Sirens of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut for a third time. This book discusses religions and the nature of human existence very explicitly making it one of Vonneguts most ambitious works. Like the Space Trilogy, Vonnegut is here using science fiction and its inherent ability to extend beyond the occurrences of the known universe, to discuss something we all can relate to. His aims are quite different though, as I believe he, in contrast to Lewis, wants to be critical of religion. But I do think that he is not criticizing personal faith but rather organized practice and literal complete belief of such things in spiritual texts. Its a great read if you ever get the chance to pick it up
