Sam Atkinson: Final Reflection and Take away from this Class

I guess, more so than anything else, what I have learned from this class is the power of stories and getting together to share them. Whether we are discussing Lewis' great many works and essays, or we are discussing our own, there is nothing quite like hearing someone talk about, explain, or simply tell a story. It brings us together in our individual experiences and shared ones by bringing us to some mutual adventure we have went on. We learn about ourselves through the experiences which none of us or all of us have had, engrossing ourselves in a new universe or new place, or even that of a familiar one. Its something that allows us to connect.

Really, stories come in all shapes and sizes. A story needs no language. It can be a dance. It can be a song. It can be a joke. It can be a ritual. It can be anything.

At the end of it, we are all are our own stories. Our lives are those stories and the experiences and occurrences within them are what shapes us. But sharing them with others and sharing them well...well that is a life beautifully lived and a story wonderfully constructed.
